Mat began his career in pharmaceutical and environmental research as well as laboratory operations. He transitioned into life science executive search in 2013 and leverages his domain knowledge to attract high caliber talent and to help establish world class leadership teams. Most recently, he was part of Coulter Partners, a global life science executive search firm, where he spent nearly nine years helping to expand the organization’s footprint in the US and led senior and executive-level search assignments in verticals spanning discovery through commercialization in the US and broader Europe. Mat has worked with VC/PE-backed companies through large global organizations focused on therapeutic, diagnostic, and device development. Also, he has worked in adjacent areas such as healthcare, nutrition, consumer, and animal health.
Additionally, Mat draws on experience being a US figure skater and coach in addition to actively sitting on the Board of Joey’s P.A.W., a nonprofit which enables animals to receive prosthetics. He received his education from the Penn State University in Life Science/Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and completed an advanced certification program through Cornell University in Executive Talent.
